|Deposit and Cancellation Information
|Your credit card will be charged for the full amount of your booking at the time the reservation is made. This payment is processed through the secure Windcave payment system. The name that will appear on your statement will be Settlers Whangarei Ltd. Any credit card details stored for payments are done so on the Windcave system. No credit card information is stored by us and Windcave protects personal information – at a minimum – to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (“PCI-DSS”).
All rates are in NZ dollars and are on a per night basis including GST. Distinction Hotels will not reimburse adverse fluctuations due to foreign exchange.
BEST AVAILABLE NON REFUNDABLE RATES, STAY & SAVE RATES
Your credit card will be charged for the full amount at the time the reservation is made. No refunds are permitted on accommodation bookings. In the case where cancellation or amendment of a booking is required, the full quoted amount of the reservation will be charged. Guests requiring alternative accommodation dates will need to rebook, no amendments/transfers permitted. A maximum of 2 rooms can be booked on Stay & Save rates. Please note these Stay & Save rates are not valid for events & conferences.
COVID19 FLEXIBLE TRAVEL POLICY – BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE
From 13 October 2021, if you are unable to travel due to the NZ Government’s COVID-19 response and border restrictions, Distinction Hotels will offer a free date change & hold your original accommodation rate in credit for 1 year from the original travel date. Please contact the hotel immediately if you are impacted by the COVID restrictions and you will be issued with a folio number. To book a new travel date within a year of the cancellation, please phone the hotel and quote this folio number. New bookings are subject to room availability & current rate of the day. Guest will be required to pay the hotel directly if the rate of the day exceeds the credit amount.
FLEXI FREE CANCELLATION RATES
Your credit card will be charged for the full amount at the time the reservation is made, however you may amend or cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to arrival and a full refund will be issued upon cancellation. In the case of a no show or a cancellation inside 24 hours, the total price of the reservation will not be refunded
BED & BREAKFAST RATES & PACKAGE RATES (excluding Stay & Cruise Poor Knights rates)
Your credit card will be charged for the full amount at the time the reservation is made, however you may amend or cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to arrival and a full refund will be issued upon cancellation. In the case of a no show or a cancellation inside 24 hours, the total price of the reservation will not be refunded. Unused package components are non refundable.
STAY & CRUISE POOR KNIGHTS RATES
No refunds are permitted on Stay & Cruise Poor Knights accommodation bookings. In the case where cancellation or amendment of a booking is required, the full quoted amount of the reservation will be charged. In the rare event that you Perfect Day Ocean Cruise is cancelled by the operator Dive Tutukaka due to severe weather or minimum number requirements the cruise component of this package will be refunded in full.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT POLICY
Check in time is 2pm at Discovery Settlers Hotel, 61 Hatea Drive, Whangarei. If earlier check in time is required please request this at the time of booking.
Check out time is 10am. If a late checkout is required please request from reception when you check in at hotel. Early check-ins and late checkout’s are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of Management / Reception Staff.
One child 12 years and under stay free when using existing bedding. Extra children will be charged at the extra person rate. In the event where a rollaway is required the extra person charge will apply.
DISTINCTION & DISCOVERY HOTELS COVID-19 VACCINATION POLICY
In line with the New Zealand Government’s public health mandates, from 3 Dec 2021, all guests, visitors and contractors 12 yrs & older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must provide verification of vaccination via the NZ verifier app or a hard copy of your QR code at time of check in or entry to the hotel.
